A Fall Wedding in Kentucky; Vintage Meets Rustic at Samuel and Rachel’s Outdoor Wedding

Vintage meets rustic at Samuel and Rachels lakeside fall wedding in Kentucky. Surrounded by their amazing friends, family, and the best dog ever, Sam and Rachel couldn’t wait to say, “I do.”

There were so many moments throughout Samuel and Rachels fall Kentucky wedding day that made me stop and think, “This is why I love my job.” From Rachels first looks with her dad, bridesmaids and bridesmen, to the vintage and rustic stylish décor and the personally written vows, I was so filled with joy to witness the joining of these two best friends. Their dog, Ace, had to be part of their big day too. He was seriously the sweetest and even listened to a few of my commands.

Their entire day was filled with so many inspiring moments to me as a mother of young girls. I hope that one day I get the privilege to laugh, pray, and celebrate with Kylie and Libby the way that Jonathan and Lori did for Rachel on that Saturday. As a mom to young girls, I cherish weddings from a new perspective now. I can only imagine that watching your child marry someone who you have prayed for their entire lives is emotional, rewarding and yet surreal. I remember talking with Samuels mother that day and telling her what amazing people they were, and she looked at me and said, “yeah I think we all did a great job.” If you don’t know Sam and Rachel, YOU SHOULD!

Samuel and Rachels fall Kentucky wedding was nothing short of a fairytale. Surrounded by family and friends, Samuel and Rachel were married at a local private cabin in Henderson, Kentucky. Rachels father walked her down the aisle. Rachel wore a gorgeous dress with tons of pearls and detail and seriously had THE BEST shoes! They were cute and totally comfy, perfect for dancing the night away! Samuel and Rachel wrote their own vows to each other, which had everyone in attendance bawling, including myself!

After the ceremony, we headed out to grab a few portraits while guest went into the cocktail hour. The wooden tables were handmade by one of Rachels best friends, and they were gorgeous! The food was also amazing, and I highly recommend! Then came time for the dancing, and let me tell ya, these two can break it down! Rachel even had planned a surprise first dance for her parents to have since they never got their own first dance. It was the sweetest thing!

I hope you enjoy scrolling through a glimpse of their wedding day. It was absolutely gorgeous. Samuel and Rachel, it was an honor being your photographer, and I am beyond blessed that you trusted me to capture your special day. It’s so much more than photographs, its your love story!
