Let’s hear it for the boys and boy moms! I mean — let’s face it — I know how hard it can be to get your boy in front of the camera, and when they finally do it, it’s to make momma happy. But Joey hopped right in to be a part of my class of 24 senior model team and I couldn’t be more excited to show you what we created all year long together! I promise we make it a great, easy, fun experience for everyone involved around here!

Kentucky Senior Pictures

This guy senior session has been in the works for a while. I met Joey a few years ago when his mom, Amy, booked me for some family Christmas pictures. I have had the pleasure of working with this family for the past few years, photographing his older brother Jesse, and their yearly family portraits. Last year when photographing Joey’s family, I said to him, “Hey, you should join my senior model team!” AND guess what! Joey messaged me back later that evening and said, “Hey I’ll really join your team if you’d like.” I booked him that night! Boys aren’t always willing to do things like this, so it was a nice addition to the team of girls.

The model team allows for seniors from surrounding schools to get together as group to have a senior year like none other. The seniors of course get lots of cool senior pictures, but it is about so much more. We have a positive group of people who love building each other up, cheering each other on, and being a positive role model for their peers. Joey totally fit right and had a blast creating special memories all year long. I’m not gonna lie, we all teared up a little bit at his final images reveal (OK maybe just me and his momma, but still).

Joeys first model team experience was a destination themed session in Nashville, TN. We started with a meet and greet at my sisters house in Robards, KY. This was such a fun time to warm up to each other, eat, relax, and get ready to head out. Every model team session has a theme, and this one was “white.” I love how Joey wore a classic outfit here with that white button up and jeans.

Henderson KY Senior Pictures

Our next model team session was a fun tailgating session as Henderson County High School. Joey is on the archery team and wore his Henderson County shirt and jeans. This was such a fun session because the model team invited other members of various sports to be a part of it. We got a lot of fun individual and group pictures here! Senior Pictures in Evansville

After our tailgating, the team then headed to Evansville, Indiana to get some photographs on a rooftop overlooking the city. Joey changed outfits into something that represents his style. I love his blue polo with his denim jeans. The sun setting behind those buildings was just absolutely gorgeous to watch! And that look with the sunglasses is classic!

By this time, I can guarantee that you are going to have the best pictures because you are so used to me that you are comfortable. AND IT SHOWS. Joey always kept me laughing and we had the best time. He was so comfortable and I was able to get those real smiles his mom knows and loves. For his personalized guy senior session, we headed to downtown Henderson to grab some must haves in his red plaid. We then headed over to the highschool where Joey changed into his senior t-shirt and jacket. Joey then surprised me and brought along the t-shirt of where he would be going to college. He used these images to also announce his choice to everyone! Congratulations on Asbury!! You will do great! Go Eagles!

Guy Senior Session in Kentucky

Joey also wanted to incorporate some fall images as well as — get this — his lighted Christmas jacket! Like it actually had a battery pack and lit up! Sandy Lee Watkins park was the perfect location for his suites. As soon as he told me he was wearing his suite and tie, I immediately told him we had to do pictures at Sandy Lee on the bridge! The Christmas jacket was a surprise though! Joey is always surprising me and literally has the most upbeat, positive, fun personality!

Joey, it has been such a joy getting to know you throughout your senior year. I have watched you grow so much this year, and God is doing amazing things through you! You will forever hold a special place in my heart.
